Mindtools Questionnaire
Mindtools are technology tools that allow students to more deeply engage in what they are learning, interact with content, and interact with other students. This questionnaire describes certain mindtools that can be utilized to enhance learning. Take a few minutes to review these mindtools and provide your opinion on their effectiveness by checking either useful/not useful, and then check how you would use each mindtool.
Learning Styles are different approaches and ways of learning. Which of these styles best describes how you learn:
Visual - You learn through seeing.
Auditory – You learn through listening.
Kinesthetic/Tactile – You learn through moving, doing, and touching.

to turn mental images into some form of material image that activates the
process.

C. Blogs - A combination of text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and media related to its topic.
D. Internet Telephony (VoIP) (Skype, Yahoo! Voice, CoolTalk) – Users can “call” any computer to chat using a microphone and headset.

3. Knowledge Construction Tools - Provide opportunity to produce something sharable, develop understanding, and mastery of the concepts being learned.
A. Word Processing – Learners can manipulate words, sentences, and paragraphs to try different combinations without penalty.
B. Hypermedia – Power Point provides a visual presentation of information, concepts, and ideas being explored.
A. Spreadsheets – Offers graphing capabilities that allow user to manipulate numbers. Users can visualize changes and results as different numbers are entered.
B. Microworlds (The Sims, Second Life, World of Warcraft) – Learning environments in which users can navigate, create or manipulative objects, and test their effects on one another.
